What makes this the ideal baking mix is the use of whole-grain ivory teff flour. Teff is an ancient Ethiopian grain packed with fiber, protein and all eight essential amino acids. In addition to teff the mix only contains garbanzo bean flour, arrowroot, baking powder and sea salt.

Baking directions and tips:
- Substitute baking mix for the amount of flour called for in a recipe.
- No need to add the salt or baking powder/soda; it’s already in the mix!
- This is a whole-grain flour blend and may need adjusting by adding more liquid or more mix.
- For best results it’s ideal to let the completed mixture set for 10 minutes, then stir/mix and adjust to desired consistency.

The baking powder used in Thrive is starch-free. It is produced by New England Cupboard in Maine.
An added bonus to using this baking powder is that it does not lose it's potency over time.
